Abstract
The aim of the article. The preconditions for information and technology infrastructure’s evolvement as a resultant factor of the commercial enterprises’ innovative and technological development ensuring within the network economics are determined and substantiated.
The results of the analysis. We explored the institutional problems of the topic, such as: the underdevelopment of financing arrangement mechanisms, and the insufficient level of telecommunication infrastructure availability which hinders the development of small and medium-sized trade enterprises.
The conceptual model of trade enterprises’ information and technology infrastructure is proposed. The essence of the enterprise’s information technology infrastructure as an aggregation of institutions and analytical resources is defined. They are essential while forming the proper requirements for new technologies development, for the results of market activity research, and for technologies’ (innovations) creation, development and commercialization in order to provide the trouble-free and effective functioning technological process, and to form the newest technological base of enterprises.
The enterprise’s practical policy measures concern the development and validation of recommendations regarding the structure, type and content of the implementation process of the information technology infrastructure formation within the commercial enterprises. It will ensure (with taking into account possibilities and limitations) a strong positive relationship between the specific investment and innovative environment supporting, and the common business interests and will help to provide its competitiveness.
An important part is assigned to information and technology infrastructure during the implementation of project approach to trade enterprises management. The basis of this process should be an information (software) platform – a key tool for system participants operation.
Conclusions and directions for further research. In prospect, it is necessary to develop a methodical toolkit for the information and technology infrastructure development assessing. Using it and basing on the statistical and comparative analysis, the key parameters of IT development in the field of trade, in general, and within individual enterprises as well should be determined. It will help to identify the boundaries and the depth of economic reforms on the basis of intellectual resources use within the commercial enterprises; moreover, it will help to evaluate the deviation of individual indicators considering the relevant factors of influence, and to find the growth reserves.
