Abstract The aim of the research paper. The aim of the research paper is developing of scientific approach to assessing of the innovation activity level of restaurant business enterprise business model. The approaches to the selection of indices of innovative activity assessment are generalized and the indices of innovative activity assessment of the restaurant business enterprise business model are substantiated in the research paper for achieving the aim of the research. Analysis results. The research shows that each enterprise with its key processes is unique, and therefore it is impossible to determine the development optimal vector which is based on unique algorithm of action for almost all enterprises. The importance of updating of the restaurant business enterprises business model is very high, since it is aimed at achieving competitive success. The logic of the renewal process is based on the postulate, which changes the typical management approach, focuses on the necessity of searching the compromise between the creation of innovation value for customers and the formation of strategic flexibility. Dynamic conditions of the Ukrainian consumer market operation put forward their own specific requirements for the formation of national business models, where innovative activity is the main business model. Innovative activity of business models affects not only internal business processes, but also, in general, on the consumer market formation. Requirements for the business model are aimed at providing of the business model’s efficiency increasing were developed for grounded substantiation of the criteria and indices of the innovation activity assessment. And its dynamic development and the system assessment criteria have determined the innovative activity of business models. Sixty experts of the restaurant business in Ukraine and Kharkiv region were involved in the development of system of indices for assessing the innovation activity of the business model of restaurant business enterprises. The experts determined the group of indices for the assessment of the innovation activity of enterprise’s business model. These indices are basis for the scientific and methodical approach to determining the integral index of the enterprise innovation activity and determining the type of reaction to the importance of the business model updating. Conclusions and directions of further researchers. The scientific and methodical approach to the definition of the enterprise’s innovation activity integral index is considered in the research; this approach is key source for the business model renewal and it can be a comprehensive indicator of the development state of the restaurant business enterprise, it is necessary to develop it and to include in the system of enterprise strategic management according to weak signals.
