Statement on Historical Content
Marketing and Management of Innovations has been an open-access journal since 2010 and their content may encompass language and concepts that were once deemed acceptable by the scholarly community but are now recognized as offensive or harmful. While acknowledging the importance of preserving the historical record, the journal systematically addresses potentially detrimental content within its archive through a case-by-case assessment as awareness arises. Remedial measures may include adding a Publisher’s Note to inform readers of the content’s nature. In instances where the content is founded on discredited science or involves unethical practices, collaboration with the journal editor is undertaken to implement necessary corrective actions.
As active participants in a cross-publisher initiative focused on fostering inclusion and diversity in publishing, the journal is steadfast in its commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion through its publishing endeavors.
Readers are encouraged to bring to the journal’s attention any content within Marketing and Management of Innovations that may be perceived as problematic or harmful by sending email: mmi@fem.sumdu.edu.ua. Each case undergoes thorough review by the Editorial Office in conjunction with the relevant journal editor or society. This collaborative process may result in corrective measures, retractions, or the addition of disclaimer warning text, particularly in cases where the use is scientifically justified but deemed offensive or triggering (e.g., profanity).
